Meeting with Doctor

Sorry we haven't been posting anything new, cause the fact was there wasn't anything new to write. But now there is....

I am home now having just been to see our specialist about my treatment. I am glad to say that all that remains is a small spot, which is the remnants of the largest spot they found during the first CT Scan. Now the specialist had said that the spot can go either two ways:

1. Keep shrinking to nothing
2. Regrow again...

The specialist has said that there won't be need for any treatment, unless it grows back again. The fact that she has said that indicates that the spot will more likely fade away, but she did say there is no guarantee that it won't grow back.

Not quite the definitive answer we were looking for. Would have rather been told that it was either gone, or we needed more treatment. We will not know till our next surveillance appointment, which is in 4 weeks time, what the spot has been doing.

I am being sent a copy of the CT Scan on CD-Rom so I can extract a picture of the spot and show you a comparison of the two scans. So until then, thank you to everyone who has supported us along this journey.

Tough week

It has been a tough week for Kurt as he has continually been feeling ill. He has been dealing with it by sleeping lots and resting even more. However there have been many distractions this week with some of my family here and an afternoon out of the house on Tuesday.

It is so hard to see him like this as there is no energy in his eyes and I miss his spark of life...with only one more session of treatment scheduled we are on the countdown to meeting with the doctor on the 18th...we pray for good news.

Happy New Year

Well, I have finished my hospital week, and feeling like crap again. Hopefully this will be the last session, it all depends on the CAT Scan that I will be having on the 12th of this month.

I have been given some new medication this time, and gives me a perk during the day and helps with nausea. I think it is working but I still feel lousy after eating, and at random times as well. It has been good having everyone around, seeing we couldn't go anywhere this holiday season....

I hope everybody has had a happy and safe holiday this year, and have a safe trip back home.
